WELCOME TO
ST PATRICK'S KAIAPOI
Haere mai and welcome to the St Patrick's School website!
St Patrick's Kaiapoi is an integrated full primary Catholic school offering education with a special character to children from Year 1 to 8. Established in 1926 by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions, the school is an integral part of St Peter Chanel Parish, Waimakariri. A special feature of our school is the focus on developing life-long learners who are motivated, enthusiastic and collaborative.
The Mission sisters' values of caring, co-operating and called to others, underpin our school philosophy which focuses on our learners being confident, and inquiring self-managers. The St Patrick's School Board is committed to providing our learners with capable and caring teachers and support staff and modern classrooms to enhance our learning environment. We aim to foster the talents, potential and abilities of each individual student, while encouraging them to live their lives according to the values and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Congratulations to our 2024 Young Vinnies who were recently commissioned at the Young Vinnies Commissioning Mass, to help and serve those in need.
CATHOLIC CHARACTER
As a Catholic school we believe that all members of our school community should act in a way that respects the dignity, rights and individuality of others as directed by our Catholic faith.
Our school values, our AKE values, of Appreciation, Kindness and Empowerment- are based on the values of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Mission - Community, Mission and Contemplation. These core values underpin everything we do.
