From the Principal….

Kia ora koutou katoa,

We have had amazing support from our School Community during this eventful term! Thank you for your ongoing support of all of our sport and cultural activities, our School Camps, Swimming lessons, fundraisers and school Masses. We could not do these things without you.

To enable our families to connect more easily and to welcome and include the many new families to our growing school community, we have decided to invite you all to join us every Friday morning from 8.30am - 9.30am, for a Community Connect Cafe (CCC). This will give us all an opportunity to connect with staff, other parents and caregivers and our Parish Community. I have organised a coffee van to come every Friday and we will gather around the new picnic tables outside the library. You are all invited to join us for Mass at 9.30am too.

A big thank you for supporting and contributing to  Our 3-Way (Parents, Student and Teacher) Learning Conferences

The focus of these important Learning Conferences was:

  1. To celebrate and acknowledge your child's strengths and learning progress and achievements to date.
  2. To find how your child is working, learning and socialising in their class.
  3. To share any important information and ask questions of the teacher.
  4. To set learning goals for Reading, Writing and Mathematics for Term 4.

Please let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions for the way these 3-Way Learning Conferences are organised and how valuable they are.

Is there anyone in our community who holds a Duty Manager's Certificate, we need to have a person who has this, on site, for our School Fair. Please contact Rebecca Morgan if you can do this or know someone who could.

On behalf of our school staff we wish all of our families a very happy and safe holiday with your children. We look forward to seeing you all on Monday 9th October. Your children will need a named school sunhat next term, which stays at school in their school locker.

Ma te Atua koe e manaaki me to whanau,

God's blessings on you and your family.

Kind regards

Trish McKendry
